Leke Leke Waterfall is one of those Bali places that still feels genuinely off the tourist trail — a 30-metre single drop into a clear plunge pool, reached through active rice terraces and a dense bamboo forest in Tabanan Regency, 18 kilometres northwest of Ubud. It does not appear on most "top waterfalls in Bali" lists, which is precisely why the pool is quiet even in high season. The walk in is as rewarding as the destination: the rice terrace section offers open valley views before the path plunges into bamboo shade.
About Leke Leke Waterfall
The waterfall sits within the Yeh Ho river catchment in Baturiti subdistrict, Tabanan Regency. This puts it just west of the Bedugul highlands — cooler air, more consistent rainfall, and lush year-round greenery. The Yeh Ho feeds some of Bali's most fertile rice terraces, and the walk to Leke Leke passes working paddy fields before entering the bamboo forest.
The bamboo section is the most photogenic part of the approach — dense stands of giant bamboo create a natural tunnel effect that filters light into soft green diffusion. The final descent on wooden steps is steep and requires care when wet. The pool at the base is wide and clear, bordered by smooth boulders and overhanging ferns. No commercial infrastructure exists at the pool. A small ticket booth at the road entrance is the only built structure.
Difficulty & Trail
Approximately 20–25 minutes walk from the entrance, including some steep sections through bamboo forest and a final descent on wooden and stone steps. Narrow trail in places. No river crossings.

Photography Tips
The bamboo forest section of the walk offers beautiful abstract shots — tall straight stems creating natural parallels.
The fall is framed by overhanging fern and jungle from the pool edge — wide angle captures the height and the green walls together.
Morning light through the tree canopy creates dappled beams in the bamboo section — arrive early for this.
Long-exposure pool shot with a travel tripod for silk-water effect.
